Acoustic felt
PET felt is a versatile, durable material with excellent acoustic properties. It is made from (partly recycled) polyester fibers, making it both soft to the touch and dimensionally stable. Because it is fully recyclable, PET felt is a particularly eco-friendly choice. Thanks to these properties, it is ideal for creating stylish, sound-absorbing products for a wide range of applications.
Our PET felt consists of 60% recycled fibers and is fully recyclable.
NRC stands for Noise Reduction Coefficient: a value of 0.45 means that 45% of the incident sound is absorbed.
To determine how many panels you need, you look at how much of the free wall surface you need to cover. Use the following guidelines:
• Reducing a little echo (e.g. living room or small meeting room): cover approximately 10-15% of the free wall surface.
• Good speech intelligibility (standard office or classroom): 15-25% of the free wall surface.
• Very reverberant space or many hard materials (restaurant, high hall): aim for 25-30% of the free wall surface.
Free wall surface = all wall sections without windows, doors, cabinets or other wall decorations.
Clean the panel with a dry cloth, or vacuum on low power; for stains first dab with water, do not rub. Stubborn stains: test mild soap or pH-neutral cleaning agent on an inconspicuous spot.
